Whether I use the Terminal on my Mac or the Treehouse Terminal, the result is the same. I enter exactly what he does and I get the error.

The code should read: git remote add our_clone ~/our_clone_project/

7,936 PointsI will answer this myself. I am SO used to the super fantastic screen resolution on my Chromebook, that I mistook the ~ for a - on my Macbook. I was typing: git clone -/my_file_name.
Hopefully, this will help someone else.
