Every time I try to check my work on this test it gives me an error and asks me to retry.

Hi Chaz, your code checks out and the challenge worked for me. Maybe try refreshing the page. According to Treehouse's Twitter there were some problems earlier with the Code Challenges, but they're resolved now. So hopefully the issue has resolved for you as well! If not let us know. :)
