JavaScript Express Basics Parameters, Query Strings, and Modularizing Routes Linking Around the Application

Do you need to create a new route to randomize the cards?

I added the following line of code to my conditional: 

    templateData.id = Math.floor(Math.random() * cards.length);

and now when someone clicks the Question link, they are given a new random card. This solution is functional but should I do be doing it the way Andrew does in the video?

Here's the whole route:

  const id = req.params.id;
  const text = cards[id][side];
  const hint = cards[id].hint;

  const templateData = { id, text };

  if (side === "question") {
    templateData.hint = hint;

  }

});
