Digital Literacy

Digital Literacy points

I completed the entire Track for digital Literacy and every single workshop/course and even got a couple Forum Points, but I don't understand how some people get 500+ (I only got 479) Digital Literacy points without any forum points at all.

How do they get so many?....

I have 691 achievement points in Digital Literacy myself. And while I don't remember the details on how I got each point, I have a few guesses.

  • I have also taken the workshop HTTP: Do You GET It?, which is not included in the track
  • maybe some courses were updated, and by taking the updated version I got some more points
  • it could be that I took some courses that are no longer offered
  • you apparently got 10 extra points for completing the track, and while I can't seem to find anything that says how much it should be that seems low (there could be a bug)

Speaking of bugs, until the leaderboards bug is fixed, it won't be possible to compare your progress in a specific topic area with other students. I'm still hopeful that it will be fixed, but for now I pretty much ignore the points and just enjoy learning.

I have one extra question (it might not be related to my main question):

If you forgot to "Switch" to another track, do you get the 180 points or do you need to switch to the track before completing it?

P.S.: I completed all the courses as well as the workshops.

I can't recall if I've done this, but I think joining a track even after you've completed the courses individually will still you you the track completion points. It certainly would make sense for it to.
