WordPress WordPress for Website Owners Adding and Editing Content Custom Post Types and Fields

Destinations, Slideshows

I registered for a wordpress.com free account, opened up "Dashboard" but "Destinations" and "Slideshows" are not to be found. Am I missing something?

That's because in the video, Zac has added the custom post type ("destinations" is an example of custom post type). By default Wordpress only provides you with "post" and "pages". You'll need a plugin if you want to add your own custom post type :)

Thank you. It's not clear whether Zac is using wordpress.com or wordpress.org. Do you know? Thanks for all your help.

Pretty sure he's using worpress.org. Anyway, he explained the difference between wordpress.org and wordpress.com in this project: http://teamtreehouse.com/library/great-wordpresscom-websites

thank you.
