Custom theme Super Simple Contact Form

Hi guys kinda of a simple question (I hope) Trying to get a Super Simple Contact Form working with my wordpress theme.

Adding [contact] to the code just displays [contact] on the page.

Is there any 'special code' to make this work?

Yes, installed on the wordpress website, I didn't download and add it the files manually,

Yeah but sometimes after the install you can forget to activate it which is why i was checking.

I will take a look make sure if I have, that would be embarrassing!

OK so I took a look, it is activated, so I created a Template Page called test.php with nothing in it other than the php to designate it a template and

[contact]

taking a look at the page on wordpress displays nothing but the text

[contact]

seems I am missing something big somewhere.
