[Creativity Technique]Stopping work when timer hits zero

"Also, sometimes I like to acknowledge that I'm ready to take my break. Now it's very hard to wrap up immediately at the ending point. At least, that's what I find. So I want it to get ready for the next break, but I wanna start it." --Craig, at approximately 40 seconds into video.

I learned this technique in the original context of writing and stopping work exactly when the timer hits zero is part of the technique. Even if you are in mid-sentence you are supposed to stop and you're not supposed to stop five seconds early, in anticipation of the alarm going off. In theory, it's supposed to help prevent writer's block because you are never starting, but always simply picking up where you left off. I do cheat a little, and at the end of the day, I'll make a few notes of what I had in mind when my last session of focus time ran out.
