Core data Question

In the core data course we learn how to set the core data stack up via two different ways, the long way where we set up each individual part of the stack & the shorter way where we use the persistent store container.

My question is as follows,

If we decide to actually select the core data button when we first start the new project does this mean we don't have to create a file to hold the core data stack period and its automatically done? Or does it mean we start off with access to the data model file but still need to create a file for the core data stack where we would then either build thew stack using the persistent store container or each individual part of the stack ?
