Confused on javac introduction.java?

I typed in javac introduction.java then i pressed enter but got an error labeled: javac: file not found: introductions.java
Usage: javac <options> <source files>
use -help for a list of possible options

then I typed "ls" and have the list but it does not show introduction.class just introduction.java

did I do something wrong?

Hi Jeremy,

javac is the compiler and you will need to add a java file name after it

For e.g. javac Hello.java

Once this complies it will generate Hello.class file in the same folder.

Then type
java Hello

Also check the file name introductions.java if it correct.

Hope this explains
