13,409 PointsConfuse about the with 's' and without 's' session
Not sure whats purpose of the following code,
if(substr($item,-1)=="s" && array_key_exists(rtrim($item, "s"), $ingredients)){ //if the string end with s, and exist in $ingredients $item = rtrim($item, "s"); } else if (array_key_exists($item . "s", $ingredients)){ $item .= "s"; }
After this session, we assign the value $ingredient[$item] and this cover the previous one. This can return a ingredients array but it seems to delete/cover the data with the same $item key.
I meant if we only want an ingredient list, why not just add the ingredient to the array if the singular and plural words are not existing. A little bit confuse.
