Conditional Statment Question

var money = 9;

if ( money > 9 || today === 'Friday' ) { alert("Time to go to the theater");
}

money is 9 NOT greater than 9. Why is 'alert("Time to go to the theater");' firing?

Your statement is questioning if money is greater than 9 OR(||) if today === 'Friday'.

So since today IS equal to Friday and that is why the alert is executing.

You would need to change || to &&. view below

var today = 'Friday';

if ( money >= 100 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time to go to the theater");    
} else if ( money >= 50 && today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner");    
} else if ( money > 10 && today === 'Friday' ) {

} else if ( today == 'Friday' ) {
