Combiner challenge: what am I missing?

It seems to work but the challenge is not getting the correct result.

instances.py
def combiner(arg):
    number = 0
    string =''

    for item in arg:
        if isinstance(arg, str):
            string += arg
        elif isinstance(arg, int):
            number += arg
        elif isinstance(arg, float):
            number += arg
        else:
            pass
    return string + str(number)

your if isinstance lines need to check if item is the correct type. They're checking to see if arg is the correct type.
