Code works in Visual studio but not in Code Challange

If i put this code in Visual studio, it works fine.

In code Challange it's tells me i dit not pass fileName

CodeChallenge.cs
DirectoryInfo directory = new DirectoryInfo(System.IO.Directory.GetCurrentDirectory());
string fileName = Path.Combine(directory.FullName, "secretmessage.txt");
var file = new FileInfo(fileName);
            if (file.Exists)
            {
                using (var reader = new StreamReader(file.FullName))
                {
                    Console.SetIn(reader);
                    Console.WriteLine(Console.ReadLine());
                }
            }

You're pretty close.

But it looks like you're pasting in code you found somewhere else instead of writing it specifically for this challenge. That's not going to help you learn as much as doing it yourself!

But here's some hints.

  • you have an if statement that the challenge did not ask for
  • the challenge asked you to use fileName as the argument for StreamReader, but you have file.FullName
