Development Tools Continuous Integration with Jenkins Pipelines Multibranch Pipelines and Jenkinsfile

checkout scm in multibranch not needed?

I'm not using "checkout scm" in Jenkinsfile in my feature branches. And Jenkins still downloads proper branchs from github, I'm not fully understand why I need this command.
