Changing color of dots

I used .slick-active and .slick-active button and set the color to #fff, but it had no effect. How would I change the color of the dots?

To change the color of the dots i used the following classes:

.slick-dots li button::before {
    font-size: 16px;
    color: #fff;
    opacity: 0.7;
  }

  .slick-dots li.slick-active button::before {
    color: #fff;
    opacity: 1;
  }
