Hi Sulamita, Your code is wrong. We cannot style any element by simply writing the required style anywhere in the body. You will need to add a <style> to the head section. and then write the code inside it. Here in this challenge, it is not required to give the h1 element a class.

<style>
  h1 {
     color: purple;
    }
</style>

However, this challange ask you to write this code in the styles.css file. So, go to your styles.css file and then write your code

h1 {
color: purple;
}
