Courses Plus Student 18,036 PointsCan't type into Emulator Control of my Android Device Monitor
After opening up my Android Device Monitor
tool at 0:50 of the Using the Android Device Monitor
workshop video, even though I followed the video, I found out that I'm not able to type the fake phone number into and send a text like Ben did. It seems like the page is grayed out and not responding (my Emulator Control seems to be disabled and all I see on the left pane is Emulator...Online NOT Nexus 5 like the teacher's). Further into the video I was I was able to use the other features of the Android Device Monitor (like the File Explorer and the Screen Capture) but not the Emulator Control.
Does anyone know what can be done so I can use the Emulator Control and type a number into it as seen on the video?
Here's a link to the Workshop video .
Thanks.

Treehouse TeacherHey Kabir!
Thanks for letting us know about this, and sorry for the late reply.
It seems that with the new Android emulator (Android Studio 2.0+) that piece of functionality has been moved to the toolbar next to the emulator.
Specifically, it can be reached by clicking the ' . . . ' and then choosing 'Phone' from the 'Extended controls' pop up.
