Can't the abstract class be instantiated right? how then I am still able to instantiate the Posts class using Parent class __Construct. i am very confused here. i am still able to instantiate the Collection class in the index.php using the child's name Posts(----)

66,664 PointsPosts object extends an abstract class but itself is a class object on its own . Hence, it can be instantiated.

16,461 PointsYou can't instantiate an abstract class itself but you can instantiate any non abstract child class. So as the Posts class isn't abstract you can instantiate it.
