The android Studio keeps flagging R saying it vant resolve it

Hey Adam Croskey, it seems like you aren't importing correctly. If you put your cursor over the error, and press alt+enter for a list of intention actions. It should give you the ability to import the correct R file. If you need any more help, please edit your question to include your full code, or link to a gist/repo on github!
