Can't I make my wordpress site before I choose a domain name/host/server?

Sorry, I am a beginner. This is a theoretical question I guess.

The thing is I'm not even sure what is MySQL or CPanel yet. I'm Learning at the moment. But I would like to start a pro wordpress site at the same time as I'm following your courses. Is it ok if I dont do the domain, server and database things first or do I have to before I design the site ?

As you see I am a bit confused.

Thank you for your understanding!

Severine,

One route might be to install WordPress on your local computer to give you an environment to learn in. This would keep you from having to deal with a hosting company or outside server during your learning process. Keep in mind however that part of learning about WordPress will be learning out to at least setup a new database within MySQL.

Checkout the course on How to Install WordPress on Your Local Computer

There are other options in how you could make this work, but I figure at least with the above video course you'll have someone walking you through the details to get you started.
