Can't figure this out please help

I tried with a if statement and it didn't let me pass, it tells me to use the expression but i don't get it

ScrabblePlayer.java

  public String getTiles() {
    return tiles;

  public void addTile(char tile) {

I imagine your if statement looked something like this:

if (tiles.indexOf(tile) != -1) {
    return true;
} else {
    return false;
}

You might have stored the expression in a variable first or something like that but functionally that would be the same.

While it is true that the above code would work, you are essentially telling Java "If the result of this expression is true then return true, if it is false then return false". It would be far more efficient to simply tell java to return the result of the expression.

To return the result of the expression directly you simply use the return keyword and provide it with the expression like this:

return tiles.indexOf(tile) != -1;

That is literally the only line of code you need in the hasTile method in order to complete the task.
