Can't figure out the code to make the text white in the first part of the challenge.

I believe I have the media query and background color part correct. I am stuck on which code to use to make the text white.

style.css
/* Complete the challenge by writing CSS below */

@media (max-width: 1020px) {
  .main-header {
    background: tomato;
     {
      font: {
        color: white;
  }
}
index.html
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Lake Tahoe</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="page.css">
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css">
  </head>
  <body>
    <header id="top" class="main-header">
      <span class="title">Journey Through the Sierra Nevada Mountains</span>
      <h1 class="main-heading">Lake Tahoe, California</h1>
    </header>

        <div class="primary-content">
            <p class="intro">
                Lake Tahoe is one of the most breathtaking attractions located in California. It's home to a number of ski resorts, summer outdoor recreation, and tourist attractions. Snow and skiing are a significant part of the area's reputation.
            </p>
            <a class="callout" href="#more">Find out more</a>
        </div><!-- End .primary-content -->
  </body>
</html>

From what it looks like at first glance, your third closing bracket from the top of your css file is open. That may fix your issue. If that doesn't work, consider using font-color instead of just font (if I remember correctly).

I figured it had to be something that easy that I just wasn't seeing. Thank you for the help!

Yes, I can't tell you how many times I've over-complicated css in my own head =P

Analytical thinkers do that. It's a sign you're smart. ;)

I think there's a simpler way of presenting that. Have a go with:

@media (max-width: 1020px) {
  .main-header {
    background: tomato;
    color: white;
  }
}

The color property defines the colour of the text within the .main-header class.
