First off, I am aware that this problem has happened to many a programmer, but the most recent question on the treehouse community was 8 months ago. I have the newest version of Unity, (As of may 2016) and I have tried everything that has been suggested in the community previously, but I am still having the same problem; I cannot select anything by clicking on it. Instead, I have to individually select each Item I want to change in the hierarchy, which incredibly tedious and requires a lot of guessing. Thanks for any input you guys are willing to give.

920 PointsHi , I faced the same problem in unity where i was not able to select objects directly. Try reinstalling the application. if it dosent work try to find the solution here. http://unity3d.com/community
