9,822 PointsCan you please explain the differences between "backend", "back-end", and "back end"?
I've often noticed "backend," "back-end," and "back end" used interchangeably, but do they have slightly different meanings? Is one a noun and another an adjective, for example? In the video, it seems like the different spellings of "frontend" or "backend" are used intentionally.

Treehouse StaffHey Brittany Halterman 👋
The terms "backend," "back-end," and "back end" have no functional difference in meaning. They all refer to the same concept in web development - the server-side of an application. The only difference is in spelling and hyphenation, which often comes down to personal preference or style guides 🙂
