Can someone please tell what I'm missing?

Im lost asf.

using_input.py 
input('What is your favorite color?    ')
favorite_color = 'Red'
Red = 'Mauve'
print('The color', favorite_color,' is a great color')

Hey! You should set What is returned from the input functiom to a 'favourite_color' variable. (so remove those two middle lines of code) other than that it looks good.

But the favorite_color variable has to be red. But he inputs "Mauve" this is making me go insane!!!!!

Hi Jahmad, You will get there! Just stick to it ...

This code will work for the challenge. Why do you think the color needs to be red? The challenge interpreter doesnt let you type anything so it is confusing doing this challenge. But you need to amagine that someone will type his/her favorite color or name and it will be displayed back. Does it resolved at least some of your confusion? :smile:

# users input will be stored in the variable favorite_color
favorite_color = input("What is your favorite color? ")

# inside the print statement whatever the user typed in will be displayed 
print("The color", favorite_color, "is a great color!")

Don`t hesitate to ask again if something is sill not clear.
