Android Build a Simple Android App (2014) Improving Our Code Adding an App Icon

Can someone explain the new update of Android Studio and how to update the app icon with the new mipmap system?

I know the latest AndroidStudio has changed from drawable to mipmap. How do we use this new system with app icon updating?

In android studio on your project in the "res" folder right click on the "mipmap" folder choose => new => Image Asset overwrite the default launcher/app icon with yours

Thanks, it worked!

Same question to this. The icon on the phone device just did not change...

I have tried Luksy Breezy method which does not work.

Name your app icon "ic_launcher.png". Next, open the res folder in your explorer (Windows) or finder (Mac). Paste the icon into the appropriate folder (mipmap-mdpi, mipmap-hdpi, etc). It will automatically be set as the launcher icon.

Thank you all for your answers, actually, I tried sometimes later, which works. So probably it is due to the cache.
