can somebody help me?

While you could definitely solve this using an if statement, try returning the result of the expression

ScrabblePlayer.java
public class ScrabblePlayer {
  // A String representing all of the tiles that this player has
  private String tiles;

  public ScrabblePlayer() {
    tiles = "";
  }

  public String getTiles() {
    return tiles;
  }

  public void addTile(char tile) {
    // TODO: Add the tile to tiles
    tiles +=tile;

  }

  public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
    // TODO: Determine if user has the tile passed in

    boolean tileHas=tiles.indexOf(tile)!=-1;
    if(tileHas){
      return tileHas;
    }else {
      return false;
    }

  }

}

Okay so this is what I got.

public class ScrabblePlayer {
  private String tiles;

  public ScrabblePlayer() {
    tiles = "";
  }

  public String getTiles() {
    return tiles;
  }

  public void addTile(char tile) {
   tiles += tile;
  }

  public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
    return tiles.indexOf(tile) != -1;
  }

}

Here is my explanation for why this works.

So the boolean hasTile is going to take in a character tile as we have specified above.

Booleans hold True or False data

So when it goes to return its taking the String tiles, checking if that tile is inside or not and returning if it is not equal to -1

What that means is that you don't need to store your logic into a boolean named tileHas. Instead of that, you can return the expression straight away.
