Call the hello_student() function and save the return value to a variable called hello.

NameError: name 'name' is not defined...

Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

creating_functions.py 
def hello_student(name):
    name1 = 'Hello' + name
    return 'Hello ' + name

hello = hello_student(name)

There's no variable called "name" defined outside of the function, but you don't need one.
Just call the function by passing a literal, for example:

hello = hello_student("Javier");

Also, you don't need to define or assign "name1" inside the function, as it's not used anywhere.
