button that changes background colors back and forth

Hey guys, I am trying to create a button that changes the background colors between white and blue. I attempted many different solutions, none of which have worked. Any help would be appreciated.

Alright, let's say you have already button in the storyboard and already create @IBAction on your code.

@IBAction func buttonTapped(_ sender: UIButton) {
     if view.backgroundColor == UIColor.blue {
        view.backgroundColor = UIColor.white
     }else {
        view.backgroundColor = UIColor.blue
     }
}
