Java Java Objects (Retired) Creating the MVP Comparing Characters

Bummer! i entered Anderson and expected to get back line 1 as A comes before M. im not able to understand what is wrong

Unable to find the issue in the code

Hey Rakesh! You've got the right idea, but I believe it is asking you to assign the int line variable (that they have already defined) to 1 or 2 depending on the condition. So there is no need to define the strings lineOne and lineTwo.

You'll need to move the int line = 0; above your if statement and then you can go ahead and assign 1 or 2 as needed.
