7,776 PointsBummer! Did you call send() on the request object?
I keep getting this error message though it seems clear i have called send on the request.
var request = new XMLHttpRequest();
request.onreadystatechange = function () {
if (request.readyState === 4) {
document.getElementById("footer").innerHTML = request.responseText;
}
};
request.open('GET','footer.html');
function sendAjax(){
request.send();
}

</div>
<div id="footer"></div>
</body>

56,414 PointsIt looks like you wrapped the send() call inside a function without calling the function. Try doing it without wrapping it inside a function.
