I was trying to answer the question using a negative indexer and i got an error

should have worked. It appears that the checker is being super picky and only allowing the exact code del messy[2]
.

as a valid solution.

i was asked to delete 8 from the list
i was trying: del messy[-3] and it didnt seem to work
i was only able to solve it using del messy[2]
