Assist on use of if/else in input validation.

Add more input validation to the program by printing "You must enter a positive number." if the user enters a negative number.

Add an if/else conditional statement just after parsing the user's provided input to an integer

Program.cs

    class Program

        static void Main()
        {
            try
            {Console.Write("Enter the number of times to print \"Yay!\": ");
            string input = Console.ReadLine();

            int count = int.Parse(input);
             if(input < 1)

             {
                 Console.WriteLine("You must enter a positive number");

I see two issues:

  • on line 15 a number is being compared with "input" (a string) instead of "count"
  • the "try" block is missing an ending brace, add another "}" before the "catch"

Remember to use the "preview" button, the compiler messages can often help you find errors.
