Advice

I just have a general question. I'm currently taking the Python Collections course and lately I've been needing to use the community heavily to help me pass the coding challenges. I am a beginner but I still wonder if I can actually become better at programming because by the end of this year I want to become proficient at iOS app development and with the way things have been going it doesn't look like I can do so. Any advice guys?

Why are you learning Python if you want to learn iOS?

A lot of people recommended it to me as a good language to learn first to get my feet wet.

After I finish this course, I'll then move on to iOS app development

Ah. I see.

But what do you think though? I would greatly appreciate some advice on my learning journey of programming, especially iOS.

You are doing wonderfully, I don't blame you. Pretty everybody I know--including myself--struggled on the Python courses. The Python courses are--in my opinion, at least--harder than most (no offense Kenneth Love), but this is payoff for learning a lot in a little bit of time compared to learning things much more slowly for other Treehouse topics.

I wouldn't worry too much for now; you are on the right track!

I recommend completing the Python Basics Track before learning Swift (iOS), thus swapping to the Beginning iOS Track. Above all, enjoy coding! :+1:

Good luck!

Happy coding! :zap: ~Alex
