Actually, you have overdone, you need not have to declare a class, if you have not asked to, here you have only been asked to compare it with the 'equals', the below itself should work

   String firstExample = "hello";
   String secondExample = "hello";
   String thirdExample = "HELLO";

    if (firstExample.equals(secondExample))
    {   
      console.printf("first is equal to second \n");
    }
