JavaScript JavaScript Basics (Retired) Making Decisions with Conditional Statements Add a Final Else Clause

Add a else clause to this conditional statement if the isAdmin and isStudent variables are both false do alert open ?

i don't understand anybody can help me

Your code is almost perfect, well done. But, there is a big flaw in your code which is that you use the assignment operator ( = ) instead of the equality operator ( == or === ). Also, there are redundant codes - you don't have to check the user's position individually instead you can just use the else statement as the default value when both of them are not true.

var isStudent = false;

if ( isAdmin ) {
    alert('Welcome administrator');
} else if (isStudent) {
    alert('Welcome student');
} else {
    alert('Who are you?');
}
