686 Pointsvar width = '190'; var numOfDivs = 10; parseInt(width); var totalWidth = width * numOfDivs;
I cannot get past this 'parseInt' challenge to find totalWidth. Can someone please point to my (almost certainly) simple error?
var width = '190'; var numOfDivs = 10; parseInt(width); var totalWidth = width * numOfDivs;

29,171 PointsThe problem is in here: parseInt(width)
.
The value this function returns is an integer, so you need to assign the returned value back to width
variable to overwrite the old string value, which is '190'
. So modify this line of code to this: width = parseInt(width)
.
