Treehouse Moderator 145,860 PointsHi Zachary,
You were on the right track when you changed the ||
in the first if
statement to &&
. Now you just need to do the same for the 1st else if
and the 2nd else if
. You are doing this because you need both statements to be true for your return to be true. With the two pipes, only one needs to be true to return true and that won't work.
For the final else if
you will want to change the !==
to ==
. This is only because of the way the alert messages are set up for when they return true.
var money = 9;
var today = 'Friday'
if ( money >= 100 && today === 'Friday' ) {
alert("Time to go to the theater");
} else if ( money >= 50 && today === 'Friday' ) {
alert("Time for a movie and dinner");
} else if ( money > 10 && today === 'Friday' ) {
alert("Time for a movie");
} else if ( today == 'Friday' ) {
alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out");
} else {
alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}
Hope that makes sense. Keep Coding! :)
