351 Points+= in python
Can someone explain more about how += works? I am a bit confused.

41,120 Points+= is just shorthand for adding something to an existing variable. For example:
x = "Hello"
y = "World"
x += y # equivalent to x = x + y
# new value of x: "HelloWorld"
a = 4
b = 3
a += b # equivalent to a = a + b
# new value of a: 7
