i get an error asking is my console.printf is in the code block of an if statement. why?

is my console.printf in the wrong place?

int numberOfPeople = 3;
if (numberOfPeople < 3) {
  console.printf ("Your table is ready");

The assignment tells you to make an if statement that checks if numberOfPeople are less than 4, not less than three. Your if statement should like like this: if (numberOfPeople < 4).
