Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types String Formatting

.format() method for strings. Go ahead and

format

strings.py
name= "tatenda"
subject="Treehouse loves"+()
print(subject.format())

1 Answer

Hey Tatenda! I recommend you rewatch the video on formatting. The reason that your not passing is because your not using format correctly. When using format you put a {} in your text, where you want the format to go, and then you put a .format(whatever) after your string. In this case your code should look like this:

subject = "Treehouse loves {}".format(name)

The variable subject is now storing the string "Treehouse loves tatenda". Hope this helps!
