when I compile the prog, there is an error: Error: no files to compile were specified is it normal? the code is the same..

just type mcs *.cs

without knowing what you entered, it sounds to me like you forgot the file list for the compiler :

mcs -out:TreehouseDefense.exe <<filelist>>

in the case of this project, the file list should all of your csharp source files(*.cs), so your command line should be:

treehouse:~/Workspace$ mcs -out:TreehouseDefense.exe *.cs
