The code seems ok but doesn't pass.

var months = ['January','February','March','April','May','June','July','August','September','October','November','December'];

months = months.join(', '); console.log(months);

Actually you can use same variable name. Right side of assignment will evaluate before assignment.

months = months.join(', ');

In this case join() method returns a string, so month variable value will be overwritten with a joined string, which you can log to console and get the same result as Vittorio suggested more efficient method.

So your code should work. Challenge checking scripts not always work properly, but you can always check code, by pasting it in browser console.

Hello Joseph,

you simply can't use the same "months" name. If you want to declare a variable, just use a different name and it should pass, otherwise you can just skip that step and console.log(months.join.....

Ah ha, yes, I get it now, thanks. I was changing the original variable so it wasn't an array anymore, right. So i've created a new variable and added it to that and now it works. Also, can see how I could have just done console.log(join....
