Python Python Collections (2016, retired 2019) Lists Disemvowel

How do ii return the element that was remove? not quite sure whether return value from remove is none, please help

Vowels = ("a, "e", "i", "o", "u")

def disemvowel(word): word = letters[] for letter in word: if letter.lower() in a vowels: word.remove(letter) return word

def disemvowel(word):
          word = letters[]
          for letter in word:
              if letter.lower() in a vowels:
                 word.remove(letter)
          return word

not quite what I am doing ?

Hi there, you are very close. Take a look at this line : word = letters[] to make word into a list so that you can use the remove function you need to do something like:

word = list(word)

Also, the if statement should read :

if letter.lower() in vowels:

word.remove(letters)
