In this video, we’ll get everything we need installed. I’ll be using Visual Studio Code as my IDE and showing how to get that set up. I’ll also guide you through creating a Unity account, obtaining a license, and installing the latest version of Unity 6.

we'll set up our development environment.

with Unity. First, we need an IDE,

to write our code.

but you can also use Visual Studio

as Unity has built-in support for these.

Next, let's install some must-have
extensions for Unity development.

Click on the Extensions
icon in the left sidebar here.

In the search bar, type Unity and look
for the Unity extension pack by Microsoft.

This will also automatically add
the C-Sharp, C-Sharp

Dev Kit, and .NET Install Tool extensions.

IntelliSense and debugging for Unity.

After that, scroll down or search

The .NET SDK is a free
cross-platform framework

let's install a version of Unity itself.
