Changes to Google Slides

  • The access level dropdown (edit/comment/view) will now only appear after a collaborator's email has been inputted
  • The "Get shareable link" feature is now on the bottom left as the "Copy Link" button. Be sure to review the "general access" section to determine who is able to view the file with the link.

    In the top right corner is a Share button. 0:08
    Clicking on this will bring up the sharing modal and show you the options you have. 0:11
    You can share your presentation with others by entering their email address. 0:16
    And then choosing their access level with the edit button. 0:22
    You can also create a link by clicking Get shareable link and selecting who 0:28
    you want to be able to access the file and what permissions they will have. 0:33
    View will give people the ability to see your work and that's it. 0:39
    This is a great way to share your presentation with your audience. 0:45
    Comment is for 0:49
    collaborating by allowing people to add comments to your presentation. 0:51
    Lastly, edit is for sharing with collaborators or 0:57
    co-authors so they can comment and also edit the presentation themselves. 1:01
    You can also remove access to your file by clicking on Advanced in the bottom right 1:06
